it just occurred to me that i might be doing the program wrong....
are we not supposed to move onto the next day until we feel 100% comfortable doing one day? if so i will never finish this program....i'm a generally anxious person, most of my anxiety isn't social, its because i worry about shit. not to say that my social freedom doesnt leave a lot to be desired....i'm just saying a lot goes into how comfortable i feel at any given moment, even during the drills. i.e. the temperature in the room, how my allergies are, how well the previous approach went, how positive my self talk is at that moment, ect... i've been going through the days with some problems here and there, but i havent been redoing the days because i can usually do them within an hour or two including the challanege (usually, not always. i didnt do the day 28 challenge...scary). do i need to go back and redo a bunch of days until i feel totally comfortable in my skin doing them? before you succeed at anything, you must first believe it is possible.

I think I´ll also have to really fight me through drills to do them. And if I have to really feel comfortable doing one drill that I have to fight through this will take forever. But I also see a point in what Chris says that you should be able to do them without struggling. When I started the high five drill I already was worried at my place that I have to high five girls and had this "pre AA"....now I´m thinking, "ok, let´s go out to high five some girls" and it´s nearly as easy as asking for the time. |

As long as you're doing them -- you are moving along, some of them will be hard. We want you to reach a point were you can legitimately say "oh shit I could do those drills better than I ... lemme do them again and KILL IT" rather than 'okay i finished' if you drill some of the drills from week 2-- today... would they not be easier for you? 10x easier for sure. but for example, the drill i did yesterday, tapping girls on the shoulder and asking them about nerd glasses ect....that wasnt easy, and i couldnt do the challenge. most of the reactions i got were negative, though, so that had a large part of it. i had no problem feeling fine after if the girl didnt freak out or ignore me. before you succeed at anything, you must first believe it is possible.

well of course it is, thats never been a question in my mind and i'm extremely greatful and happy about that. i just want to make sure that i'm doing it right. days like yesterday and the night drill a while back where i squeezed girls arms were tough for me, but i did them in a matter of an hour or two, so i moved on. just want to be sure that thats legal before you succeed at anything, you must first believe it is possible.

Sooo it looks like this site have 2 programs for beating AA

OK, I will stick to #1. Thanks for info. Anyway today I have done 20+ drills and it was quite easy (I was anxious at beggining but after 10 aproaches I was like - fck the system!). I am not a native speaker. If I write some 'errors' please correct me
