It's now been over 5 weeks since I started BM. After some trial and error, I've finally found the routine that works best for me:
1) I bring a computer into the sink if I think I won't get an automatic boner (like when I haven't had sex for 2-3 days).
2) I jelq for about 5 minutes w/ olive oil to loosen up
3) Once I'm a little warmed up, I throw on some porn and get up to 80-90%.
4) I throw on some music so my roommates aren't all 'wtf is he doing in the shower" lol
5) I pump the water out of the hydro30x, then shower like I normally would. I also shave in the shower, so all in all this gives me about 15-20 minutes of pumped up time in the BM.
-I do this about every other day. Sometimes I take two days off.
A few basic tips that I've found work for me:
BM training is much easier if you aren't whacking when you are trying to do it. You shouldn't be whacking in general anyways, so, masturbation is a no go.
Make sure you are shaven down there so suction is easier with the BM.
I like having it on in the shower so I use my time efficiently. When I first started I would just chill and watch Ted Talks but I ended up being like 45 minutes total in the shower than, too long when I got shit to do!
After 6 weeks, I'm pumped b/c I feel like I can start being a little bit more vigorous with my training.

I thought I would update this since it has been almost a year of following my routine of Bathmate, Jelquing, and sizegenetics. I wouldn't say I'm the most disicplined, but I probably use Bathmate 2-4x per week for 10-15 minutes, plus Sizegenetics for 20-30 hours per week. I'll Jelq 4x per week and do Kegels whenever I have a spare second.

My biggest learning points over the last year:
1) Shave your pubic hair so the bathmate gets the best suction.
2) Find a way to wear sizegenetics during your daily life. I log the most hours when I wear it to work. Just make sure it's comfortable and isn't going to slip out. With practice you can figure this out.
3) Instead of going in 100% erect, lately I have been jelquing and then going into the bathmate. This works better instead of watching porn, b/c then I get sidetracked lol. Still gets the same erection length in the BM with this technique.
