I have the bathmate and I get these little red dots on cock from the suction. I have to be doing something wrong. Should I ease up on the duration until my cock gets used to it? Have you experience this?

I've seen these little red dots. I suggested cleaning your bathmate with anti-bacterial soap and water, and easing up (take a few days rest) this is sorta common among new guys and you are correct- your dick will get used to it

Got red dots that lasted for about 18-24hrs
Second time I used bathmate:
5 min warmup
10-15 min jelqing
5-7 min bathmate
No red dots
Gonna do the second routine every other day for 10-14 days then gradually increase the duration in the bathmate (10 mins, 12-15mins, 20 mins, etc).
