I want to get the optimum workout with the maximum pumps, but knowing when I have reached that spot is something I’m still trying to figure out as a newbie. I’ve been told two ways to know when you have reached maximum pressure:
1.) when the gator ribs are fully collapsed and compressed.
2.) when you know longer have water coming out when you pump. And you will need to add pumps every two minutes through the time period you have the Bathmate attached.
Understanding the difference between just right, uncomfortable, and painful.

1. Just Right - I would compare this to doing a hurdler stretch where you are stretching your hamstring and it is that spot where you stop at where it is just tight enough to know your stretching and feels good but tight.
2. Uncomfortable - feels like the corona on the glans penis is getting extra tingly and pulled on but then settles into the stretch in about 30 seconds.
3. Pain - pretty obvious if it doesn’t feel good or hurts that’s too far and you need to back off on the pressure
