I started doing Bathmate stretches this week and was having amazing progress and then overdid it by having a 20 minute session with my x40 Xtreme and going straight into stretches. As I was 2 minutes into the stretches I felt a sting which forced me to get out of the BM and saw a huge blood blister on my head. It's been 2 days now and it's not shrinking. I'm disgusted because I really didn't want to take an extended break from PE especially since I was starting to make good progress with the stretches.
I'm not new to PE using the BM and regularly do 20 min sessions every morning but this was my first week of doing stretches and the pressure was obviously too much between the regular session and stretches. So....my questions are. 1. Can I still use the BM with a blood blister on the head or should I lay off until blister is completely gone? 2. What's the best way to avoid getting blood blisters? 3. How do people break up their x40 xtreme routines? I'm using the suction ball and getting max pressure btw. 4. How long do these larger blood blisters take to heal? Thanks. |

I never got blisters or blood blisters from the BM.
Did get them several times by using SG (with the PF mod). In fact, got one yesterday. Don't know about other guys, but I stop PE completely until its healed. After, I pace myself a little bit more. They occur in me because of too much force being applied on the SG. So when I get back at it, I use less force. To answer the questions: 1. I wouldn't. Never tried. Try for 5 min at medium or low pressure, if its ok... go for it a little bit harder or for more time. 2. In the BM, less pressure. More warm-up. And MORE CONSISTENCY!!! Can't stress this enough. Consistency is key to not getting or reducing doughnut effect and blisters in BM. 3. I break-up in 3 strong x 5 min sesh... With jelq in between or with dynamic pumping method. 4. With proper care... few days. Hope it helps. Best regards, Feldsan. |

It definitely helps. Thanks.
I pump usually for 20 mins at max and thats probably why I get the damn donut also. It goes away after a few hours so I thought nothing of it but if it impedes growth then I will break up my sessions into 5 or 10 minute pumps. As for stretches I'll probably do them on non-pumping days and approach this like I would weightlifting....different body parts on different days etc |

Yeah, probably.
Usually, If I have the time, I like to jelq after BMing. Helps preserve the expansion and get rid of the donut. I don't know if it impedes growth. No empirical evidence. I just don't like it... I do length and girth everyday I do PE. Don't see the point in separating them. I separate the workouts (ex.: morning length - night girth). But all in the same day. Multiple approaches are possible. Good luck. Keep up the good work. Best regards, Feldsan.

This injury made me rethink my approach. Taking your advice, I'm going to do a morning session of manual stretches (15 mins) followed by 10 mins of Bathmate stretches. Then at night do 2 regular BM sessions (10 mins) with a 100 jelq session before, in between BM sessions, and after for a total of 300 jelqs.
Going to give this a shot. As for the blister, I've been using witch hazel on it regularly and it dried up into a scab so hopefully it's good enough to begin using my Bathmate again. The 5 days off of PE have been torturing me. Lol. |

I've definitely seen progress doing Bathmate stretches. I just think I pushed too much...need to break up your sessions or you'll get blisters from the excess pressure. No more 20 minute sessions for me using the x40 xtreme. While they don't hurt, I don't necessarily think they're the most efficient way of utilizing the BM.

I have a similar problem. Last week I started doing BM right after stretches and went for full pressure on the last 5min BM session (I do 3 x 5min as instruction says). It's a small blood blister below the head. I skipped Friday to let it heal over the weekend - today (Monday) it was gone, so I did stretch -> BM again, blister popped right back up.
As Feldsan said, I'm going to let it heal until Thursday, if it's fine by then - separate BM and stretches during the day and decrease pressure. Props to Feldsan for sharing his experience. 182 cm, 80kg, 10% BF

stop all PE until the blister is completely gone - you'll be out of it for a few weeks. I don't suggest BM stretches because the BM already produces ~10 to 15 hg of pressure, and that only increases if you try pulling it (or any pump). though if you really want to do them, I'd be extra careful with it and milk or bend the tube only a couple centimeters at a time, always monitoring what's going on inside the tube.
ironically blisters form when there's either 1.friction 2. moisture and 3 heat. the BM in the bath/shower contains 2/3 of those things, or all of those things if you include BM stretches. Links :

Thank you for this info. I was definitely overdoing it looking back. I was pumping to the max using the hand pump on the x40 xtreme for 20 mins and then going straight into the BM stretches for 5 mins. What was I thinking. Uggh. I'm mostly healed up but want to give it a few more days until the skin is completely healed. If anything, this injury taught me what NOT to do. |

I didn't think the "Get Hung" guide would have girls eyeing my bulge. It did.
