How to keep a conversation interesting ?


Hi guys I am trying not to over think this too much. How do you guys keep the conversation going when cold approaching girls?
I find that my conversations go boring pretty quickly as I don't have much to say to girls that I don't know. I am now on week 7 of the approach anxiety drill. Chris recommends that we actually try to talk to girls this week. I have tried that already. Out of 5 girls I got 2 numbers. Which isn't too bad. Any advice is appreciated.

I just try to ask them more questions.

"What are you up to today?"
"Are you shopping"
"What are your plans tonight?"
"Doing anything fun this weekend?"

Shit like that. My interactions don't last long at all. Usually, max 5 minutes unless I actually enjoy the banter and friendly conversation. Otherwise, I just go for the number and leave.

Sometimes I'm figuring logistics out as well. Is she busy later, does she have work etc... This is in case the chemistry is really good and go for the same day lay or instant pull. I occasionally try for this.

Another thing, if the girl is giving short answers and being super boring, it's either she's not interested or shy/nervous. A good way of indicating this is simply going for the number.

You really only need like 30-90 seconds before you ask for their number.

Like Dashedhopes said, just ask them questions. Try to genuinely take an interest in what they're saying. If you have any connections to what they're talking about, mention it.

"Oh, yeah: I had a bunch of friends in school that took OChem. That class is super hard, it makes, like, half the people give up on biology!"

You really just end up talking about either their school, or their job. You just need barely enough time to prove that you're not a psycho, and are capable of holding down a normal conversation. Then you say "can I get your number? We should get a drink sometime".

It'll eventually get so easy that it takes almost 0 mental effort.
