This weeks sucked balls. Been coming home 9 pm at the earliest. After work I've been searching for an apartment and visiting a lot of potential places. Sometimes I do tinder/bumble dates after work (looks like I got a new lay lined up for this Saturday). Also expanding my social circle and going for drinks/dinner after work. Not abandoning this thread until I hit the goal in my signature. I've been consistently get up before 7 these past few months but still struggling to get up before 6 am. I need at least 7 hours of sleep to be functional and it takes about 45 minutes for me to fall asleep getting to bed by 9 pm is what I'm aiming for (set myself a 9:30 curfew last week so I'll gradually bring it down to 9:00). I've been limiting myself to one cup of tea daily in terms of caffeine and that seems to help in terms of feeling tired in the evening. It's weird, my energy crashes in the afternoon and I get a second wind in the evening when I need it the least ...
45 minutes to fall asleep sounds like rather a while. That only happens to me when I'm trying to nofap.
Also, I know I have an energy runs ~7pm - 9pm and around 3am. Might be you have an energy rush around 9pm. It has to do w/ the balance between "sleep-drive", "alertness", and "circadian rythm" hormones (according to a lecture I went to on sleep habits. I'll try to find an article about it later, gotta run now).
The only time in my life I've woken up before 6am is when I went to 6am hockey practices (woke up 545 rolled out of bed and into my car lol). Point is if you have something you paid money for already and there's people you know irl keeping you accountable that can help a ton.
Even though I already use flux, turn off the fluorescent overhead lights and just use an incadescent lamp ~1 hour before, even then it seems like there's enough blue light coming from the incadescent there's definitely an effect wearing the glasses.
Also I'm pretty sure I remember reading here or on your lay log that you're on the lower end of thyroid activity, iron deficient, and ...one other thing... that doesn't sound super ideal. Have you got those things sorted out or still working thru them.
