There’s a psychological element to penis enhancement. The guys that quit are usually expecting too much, too fast. Might be on and off with PE for years, just as I was before I got serious about it for the LAST TIME.

The guys that gain and persevere generally understand how this stuff works a little better.

Common questions are:

  • How Much Will I Gain?
  • When Will I See Gains?

I’ll try to give some perspective on this so you can understand where I’m coming from when I have to say “it depends,” and perhaps figure what the answers to these question actually are.

Perspective on Male Enhancement

Newbie Gains (Fitness Analogy)

Even though penis enhancement involves 3 different types of tissue (mainly: smooth muscle tissue and organ tissue) the growth process is similar to skeletal muscle hypertrophy (aka working out/lifting weights). You break down the tissue, with proper rest, it comes back bigger and stronger (and longer in this case).

Just like “working out,” an untrained dick will adapt and grow very quickly. With regular exercise, both your body and dick will see significant tissue growth in the first 1 to 12 months. It is sometimes thought that after 12 months of regular exercise, you are probably at 80-90% your genetic capacity for total growth. Your rate of growth will be very fast in the first year. After that, it is much harder.

If you have no prior PE experience, with regular exercise, you can probably expect .5″ – 1.25″ of growth in 9-12 months.* Yeah, I know, that’s a large range.

* This estimation is assuming you do just manual exercising (stretching, jelqing) and not using Bathmate or SizeGenetics.

Genetic Ceilings

Both your dick and your body have a certain “genetic ceiling.”

With manual exercise, you’ll only get so big. Add the devices, you’ll get a little bigger.* Then you’ll kind of hit a wall and you’ll need certain synthetic growth factors (HGH, IGF-1) to [create hyperplasia, additional cellular growth] continue growing.

This isn’t unlike working out. Train naturally and eat right, you’ll only get so big and strong. Toss in some supplements, you’ll get a little bigger and stronger. Eventually you’ll need to alter your hormonal profile so your body can continue to grow and support additional muscle.

It’s my thought that the average guy that starts with a dick 5-6″ probably has about 2″ of growth in them. Perhaps more.
I started at 5.25-5.5″, I’m about 7.3-7.4″ right now.

Guys that start at 7-8″ might have 2.5-3″ of growth in them (you better be make horse noises and going DEEP inside these girls!!). Perhaps more.

Guys that start at 4-5″ still probably have still have potential for 2″ of growth.

* Using the devices is a good idea regardless if you’ve hit a plateau, they speed up your gains.

How Gains Happen – Keep Perspective and Motivated

I often tell guys that it takes 4 or 5 months to see gains. This is mainly because I don’t want to get yelled at. Truth is, you gain a little bit from just about EVERY workout.

The only this is- you can’t see it.

Literally- you can’t see it. You will gain ~.005″ per day, if you’re lucky.

Lets put it this way and attach a frame of reference-

In the SizeGenetics clinical study, guys grew an average of 1 inch in 6 months. That’s a lot.

It’s unlikely that these guys “saw” gains on a weekly basis however.

Lets break it down-

1 inch : 6months = ~.16″ a month. = ~.04″ a week = ~.005″ a day

They probably didn’t “see” gains until after the second month. In fact, it wasn’t until month 3 that results were considered “statistically significant.”

So just keep this in mind.

Progress is made ONE workout at a time, but it ADDS up.

My cock isn’t huge, I have gotten the ~2″ growth that I think everyone can attain. It’s the product of 100s of workouts though. I probably could hit 2″ faster if the devices were around several years ago. But they weren’t and even if they were- it still would have taken 100s of workouts.

This isn’t to discourage your from starting PE. In fact, the newbie gains in the first 6-12months are exciting and you should totally go for it.

Just know that- it’s working. A little bit at a time.

*This too isn’t unlike working out, although people can “see” changes in their body composition easier because your muscle are bigger than your penis.

In the first year you might grow ~.0025″ per workout, after that- it might be ~.0005″. Try to enjoy the process, use the Bathmate to inflate your dick to superhuman proportions, nail some girls, do your exercises, just don’t look for daily changes, get disappointed and quit.

good info bro, way to keep things in perspective. i ordered the sizegenics extender & in their fine print they state that they don’t promise “permanent gains”. have your gains been permanent?

Most will be permanent after a while.

You can easily maintain 99% them by-
1) Using Bathmate 2x a week
or
2) STretching your dick manual for 20mins sessions a week
or
3) Using your extender every other day for a few hours

def. not hard to maintain, even though the large majority will be permament after 10-12months.

Hi there! Just started the bathmate workout in finding it really fantatic! I issue is that after the session of about 15 min i can’t get my dick hard! Have to wait atleast 12 h, it feels numb and cant keep a boner! Is this newbie issue or i’m i doing it wrong?

Hey Chris–

That will improve. Don’t worry. But if you can’t get a boner the next day, take the day off (and maybe the following day off, sicne you are just starting out).
Also try this- Kegel (squeeze your PC muscle) while your in the Bathmate. All the boner-after-bathmate issues certain improve though. You won’t have to wait 12h… maybe 20minutes.

good question

That sorta depends, after a year, if you use it for just 5minutes, there will be a huge/significant for a long while because your tissue is so used to expanding…
If you’ve just had it a week or so, it will be much less.

I say go for it though. Do 8-10minutes, just take the following day off.

Yes, but i wanna try my GF with the pump after de bathmate session :o but now im just thinking she would be disapointed with my soft thick dick :O but im very impressee with the results so far after 10 day of using. Hey Markus– sorry for the super late reply.. I totally didnt see your comment. In short, I don’t think any supplements are highly effective to help PE. If I found one that was any reasonably decent, I’d recommend it here.. but ive had no such luck…

Im going to add this to my daily routine because I dont want the ladies to laugh when I pull down my pants, instead I want them to scream and run for their life lol. Im also going to add in IGF-1 and PEG-MGF once I reach my limit but im afraid to inject my penis. Have you ever injected into your penis, and did in hurt if so?

Never injected my dick straight on, there’s a thread in the forum where a guy is doing chemical PE. I have injected above my dick in the ‘fat pad’ (both IGF/HGH), both can help. I don’t know if the localized injection is necessarily for the HGH however (its not)

Hey I remember reading somewhere that after working out, blood pretty much doesn’t go anywhere near your penis because it needs to go to the rest of your body that used up the energy. Is there a general rule of thumb of when you can work out then PE? I gained some weight over the past few years and I want to get rid of it. Then I thought, I might as well do some PE too.

Hey Paul — yeah I bet there’s some truth to that. the blood is in your muscles and closer to your heart.. especially the muscle that you just trained. I generally take some stims (pre workout supplements) for the gym, so I’d do PE prior to the gym. orrrr… take a cialis and do it after. Both have worked for me.

Hi Chris, great site, best i have seen re PE for sure.

I have just purchased (3 weeks ago) Size genetics, Bathmate hydromax and intend to do manual exercises also to get fast gains.

I am currently 6.5 EL x 5.3- 5.5 EG … my goal is 7.5 EL x 6 – 6.2 EG (maybe 8 x 6.2 all things going well :) )

I have a few questions I would like to ask your opinion on:

1. With the size genetics extender how much tension should you use it with? I am currently stretching myself out pretty tight and when the blood goes away it is stretched out about 6′. Would you suggest to stretch it out beyond what you want to gain or keep it around your erect legnth?
2. When doing jelqs how much pressure do you use? I have been jelquing with a very firm pressure causing slight pain (very bearable) and got a few red dots etc which I have heard is normal… trying to get to 200 jelqs can be a little hard due to this and my penis gets a little sore after …. how firm etc do you suggest in your experience?

Im intend to use the bathmate for 10-20 mins 5 days per week, size genetics 4-6 hours, 5-6 days per week and try to get to 1000 jelqs… hope this gets me up there soon!

Once again great website, from what i can see one of the only real honest no BS sites on this subject, there is so much crap on the web (scams + people saying PE does not work) it’s good to have resources like GLL to try and acheive personal goals.

Not sure if i’m posting in the correct area but thanks for providing this site and all of your information! My penis is about 7×6 cut but small nuts (thats a different story). I’m attempting to gain some length. In your opinion, does the bathmate or the stretcher work best? I have a generic stretcher but it gets so uncomfortable at times. Funds are tight but I think i need to invest in something new that will actually work. 2)My penis is also curved/bends to the left, have you noticed that some of this might get corrected with either a stretcher OR bathmate? 3) I’m circumsized but debating on trying the TLC tugger to get foreskin back or at least some. What’s your opinion on this? Would you ever attempt to restore foreskin? Thanks!

Bathmate is certainly more fun, but for length SizeGenetics is the device that is better in the long run (you def. have to wear it A LOT)

Sizegenetics (and similar extenders) were actually made to correct this ‘bent’ issue, but it turned out to increase length as well

Hello mate,

I love your vids, its good you cover all questions a guy would ponder in his ” 1 eyed’s ” brain. , j/k of course.
1.Ive been wearing the size genetics for a month now, for a good 3 hours or so per day and only notice 0.8 /10 of an inch increase , guess this is normal ?
2.Should i be wearing it at full stretch and/or longer than my max erection size or is that pointless. I am an even 7 on the ruler, and have been stretching it flacid to 7 inch or just bit over, should i go toward 8, or aim for 5-6 when i secure it ? , thanks a bunch bro.

Hey JJ-

As long as your dick is stretched out it doesn’t matter what tension you have it at. But make sure it is at a tension that you can wear for longer then 3 hours. To get the best results you have to wear it 8+ hours a day. And getting close to in inch in gains in a month is pretty good.

I would assume (make an ass i know) that to get the best results you stretch it the most you can.
It was just under 1 / 10 of an inch gain in 1 month. maximum 4 hours a day iff that, the thing is painfull to wear after 1 hour, gotta rest every hour for fifteen minutes to ease the pain then put it on again, which is fine enough coz every hour the bladder is pretty much full.

Whats yours thoughts.

Hey I never done PE before and am not small but not huge either I have no trouble giving woman orgasms but of course i would love to have a bigger penis. My concern and questions are does any PE do damage meaning softer erections and are the gains permanent if you do the exercises for a long time. I would be willing to buy size genetics but I havent ever done any jelquing Pe exercises so I dont know were to start. I heard that doing jelquin can make your dick bigger but then it can get smaller than before you started. I dont know what is true or not true but want to have a bigger dick but would rather keep what I have then have a bigger broken dick. So my questions are do they exercises like jelquin and size genetics work and what should I get first I am looking for permanents gains without causing damage.

I have been active in doing PE for around 5-6 months now. I have been using the SG extender for around 4 months and have not had any damage or issues with my dick using it. I still get rock hard erections every day and have grown 1.5 inches in erect length. And I just started jelqing about 4 weeks ago and I can tell you that it is freaking awesome. I have had even better erections and also gained an extra .2 inches in length and girth in the past 4 weeks doing it. I also use the bathmate while doing all of these different forms of PE. I say if you are looking for length gains so with the SG extender and jelq while using it as well. It is a banging combo. If you want to get more girth and a little extra gains in length the bathmate on top is the ultimate combo.If you follow the newbie routines on the site you will be able to get a bigger dick safely.

I like to make it bigger like pretty much all guys. I have heard of jelquing exercises size genetics, and bathmate. I am concerned if any of this is harmful and will i experience permanent gains. I f I could add a permanent inch to inch and a half I would be more than happy. my q am was checking out your site and want and have some questions. There is nothing wrong with my penis size and I can give woman orgasms however I woulduestion is will the exercises make you have weaker erections or do any other harm. Also will lengthing with size genetics and jelquin exercies make you loose girth as you gain length. I would love to try some PE but and concerned about any damage for results that may not even be permanent. Any advice and how should I start if its safe and permanent would be appreciated thanks. Like I said I would rather have a working penis than gain a inch or 2 in length when soft but have a jacked up erection. LOL as it is it works for me now. I would love to get to work on lengthining but are concerned about bad side effects and damage.

Hey Frank-

I answered you on another one of your post’s. Since doing PE I have gotten much better erections now then I did before. And you will not loose girth doing jeqls or using the extender you will still gained more girth from both forms of PE. The only way you will hurt yourself is if you do PE carelessly and overdo it from the start. Follow the newbie routines on here and you will be on your way to a bigger dick in no time. Also once you get the the length you want most of your gains will be permanent. If you want to keep them all you will have to jelq and use the extender 1-3 times a week to keep the gains you made 100% but most of the gains you get from doing this will stick.

Hey Steve-

I can tell you from my experience that most of his gains where probably from the devices and the PE he was doing other then him being on HGH. I have personally grown 1.5 inches in erect size in less then 6 months and I don’t take any drugs what so ever. So this stuff def work’s if you commit and do it.

Hey Alex-

I tend to get one when I am trying to put the device on first thing in the morning. But you can get a hard on while wearing it if something that spikes your interest comes into play. But try to avoid getting one while wearing the device.
